Lalia exists to connect Black-owned businesses across Africa and the African diaspora with customers worldwide. We believe that authentic commerce β rooted in culture, craftsmanship, and community β deserves a global stage.
Our platform removes the barriers that prevent talented artisans, designers, and entrepreneurs from reaching international markets. From handcrafted goods made in Accra to fashion designed in Lagos, beauty products formulated in Nairobi, and art created in Brooklyn β Lalia brings it all together in one trusted marketplace.
Lalia serves two communities. For buyers, we offer a curated selection of authentic products from verified Black-owned businesses β with transparent pricing, reliable shipping estimates, and real customer reviews. Whether you are shopping from Paris, New York, London, or Dakar, you can discover products that reflect the richness of African and diaspora culture.
For vendors, we provide a full-featured selling platform with no monthly fees. We only earn when you earn β through a transparent commission on each sale. Our tools handle payments, shipping estimation, analytics, and customer communication so you can focus on what you do best: creating exceptional products.
Lalia was born from a simple observation: the world's most vibrant entrepreneurial communities β across West Africa, East Africa, the Caribbean, North America, and Europe β were building incredible businesses, but lacked a unified platform that understood their unique needs.
Existing marketplaces were not designed for cross-border African commerce. They did not account for the complexities of multi-currency transactions, varied shipping infrastructure, or the importance of cultural authenticity. We built Lalia to fill that gap β a marketplace built from the ground up for the communities it serves.
